Down to earth comfort, coffee, and company
When you walk in, you are very likely to be greeted by the owner of The Shooting Star, Mara. Her mother may be standing close behind - or perhaps one of only a couple of incredibly friendly employees.
The food menu offers ample options and your food arrives at the table fresh and hot, not to mention tasty. There are also selections of muffins and cookies on the counter.
To go or to stay, plain coffee is available, but fancy coffee is ready at hand, including a gluten-free Caramel coffee complete with whip cream and drizzle if you talk to Mara.
The old brick house oozes personality and draws you in with it's large outdoor patio area and stained glass windows. It's furniture is well worn and comfortable.
Wireless internet is available for those who are inclined to blog, and every other Thursday night is film night at the cafe. The hours are currently limited (see website), but will be more extensive as interest builds (so please stop by).
If you are interested in film night, please call for details.
