Patterns for Slops, Trunkhose, Venetians, Doublets & More
This pattern set includes quite a few patterns for almost-complete Elizabethan outfits (you'll need to add your own shirt and hose patterns).
The sewing instructions are decent, although I'm told that other folks find them a tad difficult to follow. I didn't have _too_ much trouble, anyway. There is one piece which is completely unmentioned in the sewing instructions, and there are two pieces (the waistband and leg bands) which are _far_ too small--so be warned there.
One thing I really like about Period Patterns is that they include a good historical overview with plenty of (black-and-white) pictures; this helps one get a better idea for realistic options.
All in all, I'd use it again in preference to any other pattern set I've seen.
