Never again
It was noisy. TVs everywhere, all turned up loud. People screming to be heard over them and the other shouted conversations. - Bryan , posted 01/08/05
Friendly bar, sometimes have good bands
Being stuck on 16th is a bit of a drag, but there are a few friendly places I hang out when around the area:

Paramount Cafe - Near the United Artist movie theater. Sometimes they have live music, they have a friendly bar, and patio seating if it's nice oot.

Rock Bottom Brewery - I'm not sure where on 16th you are, but this is on the faaaar west (i think?) end of the street. It's mainly a restaurant, but there's a nice bar area that doesn't seem to get stuffed up with the business types.

Brendan's - If you're back by the block with Croc's on it, Brendan's is a bluesy bar on the other side of that same block. Usually a pretty good crowd, and decent local blues.

Also on Larimer is Club Lime, it's a pretty chill place with some alright music. Usually only hopping on the weekends. I'm not sure exactly how I get there normally, but you could probably find it online easily if'n you wanted.

The Westword idea is probably the best thing to do, but there's also www.milehighnights.com that has some good reviews.

Hope this helps ease your boredom-pangs! - ROb , posted 02/18/04
