Fox Searchlight Pic/Conaculta Instituto Mexicano..What can I say, beautiful movie, I laughed, I cried, I absorbed, and weeks later still pondering on. This is a masterfully written story and the acting is superb. Briefly put its about a woman whose husband disappears, she gets tangled in a web of mystery, suspense and cohort players who demand ransom, a younger man falls in love with her, and through it all she finds that perceptions rather than change reveals what is beautiful in life...its empowering film for women, though men would like it too. I would recommend that every woman see this film. --- a life lesson for sure in this film. I thought "All About My Mother" was awesome, but this film has me hooked now on Mexican cinema. Men too would love this film, the two main male characters are interesting and lively, funny and amusing. Film was given rave reviews by Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival, was official selection.
