I was taken to the Bump n' Grind Restaurant at 17th & Pennsylvania after a long night of partying, and was immediately drawn in by the brightly colored walls, art, and especially the waitstaff. This place is breakfast and a show. First off, the waitresses are all men in drag. These aren't your serious trannies, more campy and over the top, comedic performance kinda trannies. Even the busboy was a guy with a full beard wearing a wig and dress. The service or "performance" was enough to get me back again and again, but the food was out of this world! I had the mexican eggs benedict which was like having a taste orgasm. I highly recommend it. Good music there too. This is not a place for the conservative or straight-laced, but if you appreciate a little lunacy and creativity with your coffee and eggs, then this is the place for you. - Casey , posted 12/21/07 |
